Rowing & Swimming opportunity at Gian Jyoti....

Hello Friends.....
Some good news.... We have a national level rowing coach here Mr. Lakhvir Singh who coached our school students from 4 am to 7 am in the morning at Lake. As a result you all will be glad to know 9 of our students won the medals at the national level. One of them has been given a free medical MBBS seat in Patiala as a result of that.

For rowing swimming is a pre-requisite. So those who are interested in swimming or/ and rowing please send your names to me, so that we can make a state level team under Mr. Lakhvir for Gian Jyoti above 19. The swimming lessons will be given at the phase 6 mohali swimming pool. I have given my name for the swimming lessons. We will work out the timings in the evenings or early mornings depending on the response...

Please ask all your friends in Gian Jyoti to send the names. It will be first come first serve basis...

We will also make a volley ball team and he is also a coach of Volleyball. I have requested him to come and speak to you all today.....

All groups to come forward for Mon, wed and Thu sessions.

On Friday at 3:00 pm each group has to present their work to the Panel in the Syndicate room. Each group will be given 5:00 minutes.... They need to present their company and how they are going to do their assigned project of web site development.

How Internet has influenced your life....

It was good interaction today with all the students of MCA-5. I just love the class. Though it was after Lunch but all were full of energy.... We shared the growth of Internet and how it has changed our lives. I shared my experience of doing all Bank work for my mother now on internet rather than standing in long queues all the time and also that my mother too has become E-Commerce savvy and has taken the first step in terms of using her ATM card and the credit card for shopping and I pay her bills on Internet.... I had requested all my students to share their experiences through this blog. Will be waiting for their response....

Seeing them tomorrow again... Cheers...

Blog created for my MCA E-Commerce batch....

Today on 28th July 2010, I thought of creating a blog for gjimt MCA E-Commerce batch starting from 2nd August. I happen to meet few students at the gate few days back and discussed the idea with them. They were very excited about the concept. This will be a informal platform to share information and make us learn new things in Web development. Most of the MCA students are utilising their holidays by either getting training on new softwares or teaching IT skills at different places. Good to know that they all are utilising their time very well. It will give me a good opportunity and right platform to learn new things from GJIMTWEBDESIGNERS, that is what I have named this blogger..... Will see you all on 2nd August.... Cheers.... Gurdeepak...
